I became interested in hair loss when I was training in dermatology and attended the specialist hair and nail clinic at St Thomas with David Fenton on a regular basis during the last two years of my training and my locum consultant post at Kings College London. I continued to work at St Thomas as an honorary consultant until I established my own specialist hair clinic in Brighton which now accepts referrals from the South of England as a tertiary regional clinic. I regularly have SPRs and consultants attending my clinics and it is a privilege to have people wanting to come and work with me and help develop our service, our knowledge and research into hair loss. The British Hair and Nail Society was my way of bringing like minded professionals together to further develop our understanding of hair and nail conditions and to nurture future trainees to dedicate their careers to this very deserving group of patients.
